This year we included questions that require more analysis.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the Chairman of the State Examination Center, Maleyka Abbaszade, in an interview with “Asan TV”.
The SEC Chairman noted that the expected results from the graduation exams have been provided. There are no significant differences compared to last year.
“These results do not sharply differ from last year's results. We have not prepared any questions outside the program.”
M. Abbaszade noted that the graduation exam does not only include questions that require rote learning.
“We do not only assess knowledge, but also determine the cognitive abilities of students. However, students were not so prepared for this. While preparing for the exam, students were engaged in rote learning, and it is possible that they have not yet developed their analytical skills and ability to express independent opinions. Therefore, these questions seemed more difficult to them. However, I also looked at those questions myself, they are completely simple questions and anyone with a basic understanding can think and answer these questions.”
