Historians Nazim Khalilov and Elnur Najiyev shared a map titled "The Empire of Nadir Shah Afshar (1736-1747)".
According to Modern.az, this map has been included in the "Historical Atlas of Azerbaijan" (editor-in-chief: full member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov), the "National Atlas of the Republic of Azerbaijan", and the atlas "Azerbaijan on Historical Maps" (scientific editor: full member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov).
"The author of the map that we have shared is a Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Tofig Mustafazade. The borders of the Afshar Empire, created by the great Azerbaijani commander Nadir Shah, stretched from Derbent to the interior of Turkestan and India, to the shores of the Indian Ocean. It is the largest empire in the history of Azerbaijan. And the longest-lasting empire in the history of Azerbaijan is the Safavid Empire (1501-1736), which existed for 235 years," the historians stated.
